Thanks to the hybrid burrs feeding the beans to the flats and the belt-driven system, the grinder is built to operate at no more than 500RPM. The grinder distributes the coffee along the sides of the portafilter, in a donut-like shape. This test was performed without using RDT. This is all thanks to the patent-pending zero-retention module, which, when turning off the grinder, spins the motor counter-clockwise for a second, pushing all the remaining coffee from the sides of the burrs out.

The Honne solves this issue as the conical burrs feed the coffee to the flat burrs, ensuring that all chunks spend the same amount of time between the 68mm flats and hence ensuring perfectly uniform grinding. Flat burrs grinders need beans in the hopper to ensure uniform grinding, while conical grinders lack clarity.
